Motown Magic hit the road and showed up in a big way at the Playmakers Tournament hosted at Hype Athletics in Dearborn Heights for the Battle of the Midwest—and it turned into a statement weekend.
From start to finish, the squad competed at a high level, ultimately bringing home the championship with a series of dominant performances.
Tournament Results
Playmakers (57–55)A hard-fought opening battle set the tone. Ben Hefel led the charge with an impressive 25 points and 15 rebounds.
SC Elite Red (52–43)Motown Magic stayed locked in, with Dre Howard delivering 18 points and 11 rebounds in a strong all-around performance.
Lindsey Hunter Elite (65–33)A statement win. Dre Howard continued his dominance with 15 points, while Gabe Wade added 11 points to fuel the blowout victory.
Championship Game
Playmakers (47–31)Motown Magic closed out the tournament in commanding fashion, defeating Playmakers for the second time. Dre Howard led with 11 points, while Cayden Centeno controlled the boards with 9 rebounds.
It was an outstanding weekend of growth, competition, and execution for the team—proof of the work being put in behind the scenes.
