The Motown Magic National team went down to Indiana and did it the right way. One of those moments you just sit back and take in… a true Magic moment.
Mishawaka, Indiana. Adidas Jr. 3SSB. A trip to Notre Dame. We had the opportunity to compete against some of the best young talent in the country—but more importantly, we had the chance to grow closer as a team.
The Adidas Jr. 3SSB Midwest Regional will be back at the Mishawaka Fieldhouse in 2026, bringing together top-level competition for 12U–14U teams. It’s a stage built for exposure, evaluation, and high-level basketball. But for us, this trip was about more than just the games.

Saturday afternoon, we found ourselves on the campus of Notre Dame. No pressure. No whistles. Just the boys, a football, and 70-degree weather. Walking the campus, laughing, enjoying the moment. That’s the kind of stuff that builds real chemistry. The kind you can’t coach.
As this journey continues to grow, I’m watching these young men learn things that go far beyond basketball—commitment, brotherhood, communication, problem-solving, confidence, how to handle failure, how to embrace success, and how to push through adversity.

When I started this, I thought I was the one doing the teaching. Truth is, I’ve been learning right along with them. Probably more than I expected.
At every level, someone always says, “This is it. You’ve gone as far as you can.” But belief is a powerful thing. I believed in these boys, and they believed in each other. So we kept going. Level after level. And every time we were tested, we found a way to rise.

That’s the lesson—most people quit way before they hit their ceiling. And if you stay locked in, you can go a lot further than you think… and a whole lot further than anyone else thinks you can.
Now we’ve built something real. Something people want to be a part of. Over 50 kids waiting for an opportunity. At this age level alone, we could field 4 or 5 teams. That didn’t happen by accident. That came from pushing forward when it would’ve been easier to stop.

And Indiana? It gave us everything. We lost games we probably should’ve won. And we won games we probably should’ve lost. But that’s not the headline.
The real story is this—what we’re building is deeper than basketball.

It’s about the journey.
It’s about the process.
It’s about these moments.
With these people.
Together.
GO MAGIC.
