Motown Magic Recap: Hoops Finest Turkey Classic

Yesterday, the Motown Magic hit the court at the Hoops Finest Turkey Classic at Bradford Academy in Southfield, Michigan—and the boys delivered an incredible day of basketball.

We opened the event with strong wins over the Detroit Bulldogs (45–19) and SC Elite 2031 (62–29), showcasing toughness, teamwork, and continued growth. In the championship game, we battled hard but came up short against a talented Kobe Elite squad, falling 30–47. Even in the loss, the boys showed resilience and gave us valuable insight into the next steps in their development.

Overall, it was a great outing with standout performances, increased confidence, and new data for us to build on. We’ll take these lessons into our next competition at the Showtime Classic Shootout in Brighton, Michigan—right after we all enjoy some well-earned family time for Thanksgiving.
